to the spa tomorrow and check another project off my list.  Whoo Yeah!

Valentine’s is one of our biggest seasons of the year and it’s ubber important to remind all our wonderful guests why they choose A.R.T. Massage Body Spa to fulfill their wish-list on such an important occasion.  Each of these baskets have been created from the heart.  I love romance and I love unique finds, which is what you will find in each basket.  The contents of each basket varies but are all very similar.  Here’s what I enclosed:

  • Gift Certificate Retreat Package from A.R.T. Massage Body Spa
  • Adorable Fake Plastic Credit Card that say “Good for A Night on the Town”, “Breakfast in Bed”,  “A Night at the Movies”, etc.  Get creative and even a little spicy and print your own on nice cardstock paper.  Hubba, Hubba!
  • Chameleon Votive Candle (that’s my mom’s candle company and the BEST candles on earth, fo reals!)

Homemade body balm stamped with a cookie stamp

  • Antique Brass Votive Candle Holder (an Alison & Stephanie thrift store find)
  • Brass Heart Ornaments (purchased at Market, but could find similar at Dollar Store)
  • Farm House Fresh Products (Hand Cream, Bath Soak Ball, Small Bar of Soap).  We carry and use this line in our

    treatments. Love FHF!

  • A.R.T. Signature Body Balm (Secret recipe that I make for the spa and our treatments).  See photo.  I purchased a cookie stamp recently at World Market and pressed it into  the top of each balm.  Came out differently than expected, but still awesome.
  • Handmade note pads. I found a cute graphic that I put on the bottom of each page, used my two-hole punch, and tied twine

through it a couple of times to bind it.  Man I love twine!

  • Box of good chocolates.  **WARNING** Always look at ingredients!  Most chocolates have Partially Hydrogenated Oil. YUCK!  No way I’m puttin’ that in anybody’s body that I love.
  • Cute wash clothes with hearts all over, just like the traditional Candy Heart Boxes  (a Dollar General find, again with Steph and came 6 to a pack).
  • And the basket or plate that holds all the goodies.  Those were thrift store and vintage finds.  When looking for these, always look through the plates.  We found some really nice pottery pieces.

Supplies you’ll need to wrap up your goodies:

  • Clear roll of wrap  (Hobby Lobby)
  • Twine (Dollar General)
  • Ribbon with hearts, etc. (Dollar General)
  • Shredded Stuffing (Hobby Lobby)
  • Rubberbands (to tie the tops)
  • Scissors

What you’ll need to make Valentine Cards:

  • computer
  • printer
  • card-stock paper
  • regular white paper
  • double-stick tape
  • hole-punch
  • cutting board
  • creativity and patience

How I did my homemade Valentine Cards:

  • Found a free PDF printable sheet of Valentine cards online @ http://www.junelily.com/2011/01/17/free-printable-valentines-cards/
  • Using Pixelmator (on MAC) I cropped and put two to a page (see above) and Put two “I Love You” on the inside on another page.  This might take a little time to get things adjusted but be patient, you will be very happy and proud when all done.
  • Print on card-stock, then flip and print the “I Love You”  on the other side (which will be the inside, right)
  • Cut evenly with cutting board. Then fold to create card
  • Print contents of your basket on a separate piece of regular paper. Cut down to fit into card
  • Using double stick tape, put along the top back of “contents” page.  Flip over and stick to the inside of your card.
  • Hole punch the top left corner and attach to basket using a piece of twine that’s hanging down.
